La Tea is pretty standard as far as bubble tea places go. I ordered a honeydew milk tea which cost $5.25 for a medium and $5.75 for a large. You can customize your tapioca bubbles if you desire. It tasted exactly as I would have expected. I was pleased, intend to return, and will try a slush next time. The girl working the cash register was patient, kind, and helpful. She both answered my questions and provided recommendations. The location itself is plain. The walls are a bright blue but have hardly an decorations. Seating is abundant and comfortable- suitable for large groups. I personally think their location is too big for their operation, but I suppose that means you'll always have seating if you walk in.
I got the jasmine milk tea and it was so good! My favorite boba I've had in Iowa city. The staff was really nice and welcomed me as soon as I walked through the door! They recommended me flavors and let me pick on my own. Creamy, perfect sweet and the boba balls were cooked perfectly! I'm definitely coming back
Scarred from a bad taro milk tea from another local boba spot but decided to try this location in the mall! The same worker took my order and made my drink. I got a drink from the cake milk tea series to try. The tiramisu "whipped cream" is really good, and I'm impressed with the taste! The entire drink didn't just taste like high fructose corn syrup with no flavor -- like my experience at a diff. boba spot. Came in around 5:30pm on a Friday evening. Tapioca pearls/boba weren't old, and the texture is good considering it the store was empty. Definitely would come back!
We got the standard black milk tea, chocolate cake milk tea and Carmel milk tea. The teas all had way to many bubbles as they call them. Flavor was good however. Price is steep for the volume of milk tea even in the large size. The cups are interesting, maybe that is where most of the cost is. It's a nice size area if you want to hang around and chat. Customer service was decent, they answered all questions. 4 stars is for the product quantity to cost ratio. We would try it again.
Very good tea! I got 50% sweet signature milk tea and my friend got jasmine milk tea. Both taste very good. Very nice space as well. I can even compare it to Kungfu tea !
